EES with Gatwick Airport -

“The Engineering Education Scheme in England & Scotland is an EDT Programme which links teams of Year 12 students and their teacher with local companies to work on real, scientific, engineering and technological problems." (http://www.etrust.org.uk/node/75)

This year 6 of our Y12 students are working with Gatwick Airport on a detection system that continually monitors the Shuttle track identifying oil or debris on the track and which then gives a warning to the maintenance team to allow them to rectify before this becomes an issue.
